Born in the States from Greek parents, in Duchess County New York, I was blessed to have been raised between the USA and Greece.
During different periods of my life, I had a chance to live in the places such as Poughkeepsie New York, New Milford, and Fairfield, Connecticut, San Luis Obispo California, and in Greece at the town of Plomari in Lesvos, and now permanently in Chania on the island of Crete. All those places and their people inspired me and left a significant impact on my vision of the world. They helped me to precise what type of lifestyle I would like to follow and how I could introduce it to the others.
Photography entered into my life at around the age of 15 and it never abandoned me while I was developing a comprehension of simplicity and the importance of light in our lives. I have always been an outdoor person. Climbing mountains, Para-gliding, Scuba-diving, sailing, running short and long distances, and even cycling professionally for many years around the world. This involved a lot of traveling and lots of unforgettable memories.
Altogether, this blend of my past and current present is how I view life and produce the imagery I share with my family, myself, my clients and the world. Living on Crete in Greece, I am lucky to be in a place with an abundance of bright natural light. And all the reflective surfaces are what poems books and history has been made of. Those are olive trees, ancient ruins, philosophy, endless blue skies, and the Mediterranean Sea to name just a few.
I mainly photograph weddings, couples, families or individuals and also enjoy photographing hotels and villas. Interacting with people is the most important part of my work. Getting the best from my subjects, in a natural way for stunning pictures.
My approach to all subjects has a sense of lifestyle with a bright film aesthetic.
I am happily married to Polish wife Anna and together we are proud parents to our young daughter Penelope. Being athletic still remains a necessity in my life and is the catalyst to my clear mind. Well, we all know the daily truth to that one.
Most of my photo sessions take place in the Western part of Crete, but I am always excited to be commissioned, anywhere else in the world.
